Asia-Pacific seminars
Each year, BSEF organises a series of seminars in the Asia-Pacific region
aimed primarily at those involved in the manufacturing of electronic and
electrical (E&E) equipment. Each seminar consists of a number of experts
from around the world who present latest scientific and regulatory developments
related to brominated flame retardants.
In December 2005, BSEF organized seminars in Seoul

Highlights of the 2005 BSEF Asia-Pacific seminars include, among others:
- update on the scientific and regulatory developments on Brominated Flame
Retardants
- the practical implementation of the EU WEEE and RoHS Directives
- trends in the chemicals legislation in both the European Union and the
United States.
In 2005, speakers included Dr. Helmut Schnurer, from the German Federal
Ministry of Environment, Dr. Michael Rogers, from the Bureau of European
Policy Advisers of the European Commission and Tony Kingsbury, Global Plastics
Issues Leader of Dow Chemical.
