Exposure of children in the US to Deca-BDE

BSEF has been working with the US EPA Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP) on the risk evaluation of Deca-BDE exposure behaviour, in particular through ingestion by infants through breast milk or its presence in human bodies or tissue. The VCCEP report concludes that there is no biological threat, even at extreme high-end dose estimates and current levels of Deca-BDE in the U.S. are not likely to represent an adverse health risk for children.
